SHELLS
I use beautiful shells for the jewelry I create, in their natural state if possible. Some are dyed and all are coated with a thick plastic to stabilize and protect them.
| Cut from the golden lip of mother-of-pearl and then bleached. These have a beautiful white sheen glazed over an ivory background |
| Cut from the golden lip mother-of-pearl, they are unbleached to retain their natural, warm tawny color and their rainbow flash. |
| This is a truly wonderful with a natural pink color and iridescent sheen. Epoxy coated for stability and enhancement of its sheen. |
PAUA SHELL
These are very vibrant, swirled rainbow colors, much more vivid than abalone. Epoxy-coated tops protect against breakage, provide stability and enhance iridescence. From New Zealand, Paua Shell has traditionally been used to stimulate creativity and imagination. |
